I also had the opportunity to to do the surfacing for Flow, for the progressive TV spot.
I worked as a Technical Look Development Lead on The Addams Family 2 press toolkit. This was a fun project to be part of—I’ve always been a fan of the Addams Family—and press toolkits come with their own unique production challenges.
For this project, we transitioned our in-house rendering pipeline from V-Ray to Arnold. To support the switch, I developed new asset turntables and tools that allowed lighting and render settings to carry consistently from shot to shot. Rebuilding and ingesting assets to match the film can be a tedious and complex process, but through Python scripting I was able to automate much of that work.
I also led a team of lighting artists as we lit and rendered over 40 advertising spots for the film.
