I’m extremely proud of the team and what we were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time on this project. To handle over 90 shots for the music video, we transitioned our lighting and surfacing pipeline from Maya to Katana over the course of a month.

I quickly set up surfacing and lighting templates in Katana so production could begin immediately, then developed several tools to ensure we maintained the same level of control and render quality we were accustomed to in compositing. Katana was critical to finishing the project on schedule, and it was incredibly satisfying to see the templates and tools push through shots faster than anything we had previously.
