Ashes Of Creation - Cinematic Trailer

I was responsible for creating a Cinematic version of Riley. By retopologizing a mixture of sculpted game assets, Surfacing, and Grooming.

A Nuke gizmo I created for this project that helped us quickly address clients desire to add more fog elements in comp.

I was also responsible for rendering and shading of most of the FX in the trailer, and made several of them as well such as the portal and shockwave.

Among my other tasks for this project I still had the opportunity to light and composite 2 shots for the show.

Ashes Of Creation - Cinematic Trailer

This was one of the most challenging projects I worked on during my time at Brazen Animation. The timeline was extremely short relative to the scope and level of quality we needed to achieve with a small team, which meant we had to be highly efficient throughout production.

I was involved in many aspects of the pipeline and was responsible for the modeling and surfacing of the main character, using client-provided sculpts as a starting point. I also built the USD environment, taking modular assets and textures from the game and repurposing them for Arnold. This included optimizing the scene to perform well for animators while still maintaining the fidelity required for final renders.

I also helped supervise our FX artist and integrated the FX into the pipeline by setting up shaders and render passes for compositing. In addition, I handled lighting and compositing on several shots. Overall, it was a demanding but rewarding project, and I’m proud of the work the team delivered under a tight deadline.
